(1) NEW UNDERGRADUATE COURSE
This course would serve as an alternative to student teaching. Each
semester several students who enter the student teaching cycle are unable
to complete student teaching. This course would offer an alternative
experience in a non-basic education setting and enable the student to
graduate on time, but the student would not receive teacher certification.
This course could also offer a viable alternative in light of the new
Chapter 354 regulations.

General Education Review Committee-Elimation of the General Elective Requirement from the General Education Curriculum
After some discussion of whether or not to defer the vote until Fall or proceed with the vote now, the elimination of the General Elective Requirement from the General Education Curriculum passed with 2 abstentions.
