The minutes of the November 16, 2010 meeting of the Faculty Senate were approved as written.

(1) NEW UNDERGRADUATE COURSE
COMM 440: Leadership and Media, 3 credits. Proposal to offer a course focused on understanding the relationship between communication and leadership was approved without dissent.

(2) NEW UNDERGRADUATE COURSE
GEOG 407: Global Environmental Policy and Negotiation, 3 credits, G3, W. Proposal to offer a course to examine the relationship of global political and economic forces and environmental change was approved without dissent.

(3) CHANGE TO UNDERGRADUATE COURSE
ESCI 441: Synoptic Meteorology Lecture-Laboratory, 3 credits. Proposal to revise the title, catalog description, contact hour distribution, and prerequisites was approved without dissent.

(4) CHANGE TO UNDERGRADUATE CURRICULUM
MUSI BA: Music Business & Technology option. Proposal to rename and renumber MUSI 191, MUSI 192 and MUSI 204 courses was approved without dissent.

(5) CHANGE TO UNDERGRADUATE CURRICULUM
MUSI BA: Music Business & Technology option. Proposal to add specified courses in COMM, ECON, BUAD, and THEA under Required Related course options was approved without dissent.

(6) CHANGE TO UNDERGRADUATE CURRICULUM
MUSI BA: Music Business & Technology option. Proposal to reorganize courses within the curriculum was approved without dissent.

An Igyor/Cook motion to move this year’s Faculty Senate officer elections to the February 2 meeting was approved without dissent.

A Mahoney/J. Miller motion that Dr. Barbara Stengel be granted the honorary title of Professor of Educational Foundations Emerita was approved without dissent.

A Mahoney/Cook motion that Dr. Nancy J. Smith be granted the honorary title of Professor of Educational Foundations Emerita was approved without dissent.

A Cook/Wushanley motion that Dr. David Hill be granted the honorary title of Professor of Psychology Emeritus was approved without dissent.

An Anna/Rosenthal motion that Dr. Richard C. Johnson be granted the honorary title of Professor Emeritus of Industry and Technology was approved without dissent.
