Faculty Senate Meeting
April 5, 2011

The minutes of the April 5, 2011 meeting of the Faculty Senate were approved as written.

(1) CHANGE TO UNDERGRADUATE CURRICULUM
Latino Studies minor. Proposal to revise required core courses and electives to better reflect the objectives of the Latino/a Studies Program based on current course offerings was approved without dissent.

The GCPRC proposal to add the term undergraduate to the General Education Curriculum Application form was approved without dissent.

A Rosenthal/Luek motion that Dr. Jane Alden be granted the honorary title of Assistant Professor of English Emerita was approved without dissent.

An Igyor/Wushanley motion to allow the Entrepreneurship Minor proposal to begin the review process at UCPRC was approved with eight dissenting votes. A Hutchens/Marquez motion to amend the previous motion to require parallel review by school curriculum committees before UCPRC review was defeated.

Previous nominations were distributed and the floor opened for additional nominations were accepted from the floor. A Miller/Hendrick motion to close nominations and cast a unanimous vote for each unopposed candidate was approved without dissent.
