education-G1), effective Summer 1997 (Note: includes retroactive
approval for PHIL 379 in Fall 1995 and PHIL 379 in Fall 1996)

COMMENT: For implementation purposes, it is noted that the CS
Department should be sensitive to the scheduling needs of freshmen and
should work closely with the Registrar's Office to ensure freshmen are not
overloaded in their first year because of 4- credit courses.
Subsequently, departmental advisors must work with majors to make certain
that they carry sufficient credits to graduate in a timely manner.
