SUBJECT:				APPROVAL OF FACULTY SENATE CURRICULAR RECOMMENDATIONS

As the President's designee, I am informing you of the approval of the following Faculty Senate Curricular actions:

1. Faculty Senate actions at meeting on September 3, 1996.

--Psyc 336 Psychology of Human Adjustment,

2. Faculty Senate actions at meeting on September 17, 1996.

--PSYC 356 Health Psychology

--PSYC 417 Tests and Measurements

3. Faculty Senate actions at meeting on October 1, 1996.

--PSYC 412 Constitutional Law: "Civil Rights and Civil Liberties"

4. Faculty Senate actions at meeting on October 15, 1996.

--SPED 618 Early Invervention for Infants, Toddlers, and Preschoolers with Developmental Delays

Curriculum changes to BSE English Education Degree

Curriculum changes in BA Music Options:

Elimination of the BA Music, History/Theory Option

Changes in BA Music, Music Emphasis in Music Industry Studies Option

Comments: It is understood by the department that the Music Indsutry Studies component of this degree remains an option to the BA-Music degree. This title provides language requested by the accreditation agency.

BA Music, Pedagogy/Performance Option replaced by BA Music (no option)

COMMENTS: The department of Music has verified no change in the Foreign language and Musical Accoustics requirements as required related courses in the BA Music degree program. Thus, there is no impact on the Foreign Languages or Physics Departments. In addition, the department verified that the number of hours required in the major is 61 (not 66) and that the number of required related hours is 9 (not 14 hours of general electives).
