Millersville University Faculty Senate

Administrative Approvals
22 September 1999

TO: Dr. Joel Piperberg
Faculty Senate Chairperson
FROM: Francine G. McNairy
Provost and Vice President
for Academic Affairs
DATE: September 22, 1999
SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF FACULTY SENATE CURRICULAR RECOMMENDATIONS

As the Presidents designee, I am informing you of the approval of the following Faculty Senate Curricular Actions:

1. Faculty Senate actions at meeting on June 15, 1999

New Undergraduate Courses: COMMENT: The grading scale included in the course proposal was corrected to include the D grade. Approval was granted to apply the Perspectives designation to SPAN 379 Issues in Latino Writing for students who took the course in Spring 1998. However, the Provost has asked the school deans to work with the departments and faculty on the issue of requests for retroactive approvals.

Change in Courses and Curricula: COMMENT: Because of the high demand for PSYC 227, which is required in a number of majors, Dr. McNairy asked the school deans to monitor demand for this course and the impact of the change in the Art Education program
