EDFN 560 - Post-baccalaureate Clinical Practicum in Student Teaching
COMMENT: This course will be taken in the fall with EDFN 561 (12 credits) following in the spring. It is intended for Graduate Students seeking teaching certification.

All students enrolled through Summer 2003 with earned credits up to 90 credits will be permitted to elect whether to remain in their current curriculum or transfer to the new curriculum. Phasing in the elimination of the G4 elective will occur with, and only with, the election of the new curriculum. Advisers will be informed of students electing the new curriculum.

Experimental Course Policy for Graduate Studies
In order to facilitate curriculum development initiatives and to provide timely courses in a variety of areas, departments are permitted to offer one experimental course per calendar year with the approval of the department, and with the understanding that the course will not be offered again until it has been evaluated by the students and the department and is approved as defined in the course and program modification policies: course and program approval procedures. All experimental graduate courses will be designated with a number ending in *79.

Catalog Description: Provides prospective school nurse supervisors with field experiences in a school under the combined guidance of an appropriate supervisor within a school district and MU Nursing faculty associated with school nursing specialty. The primary emphasis will be on the comprehensive role of the supervisor in school health services. Specific areas that will be addressed include development of an evaluation tool, observing and supervising school health personnel, work and in-service schedules, budget preparation, staff development (school nurse/faculty/administrative), health curriculum evaluation and development, community relations, school health program assessment and revision, and legal aspects of supervision of school health services. |
