SUBJECT: ACTION REGARDING SENATE CURRICULAR RECOMMENDATIONS

As the President's designee, I am informing you on the following recommendations regarding previous Faculty Senate curricular actions from the June 10, 2003, meeting. The proposals still outstanding from your June 11, 2003, Actions of the Faculty Senate Requiring Provost Approval memo sent via email expediting the process is the academic proposals for the Film Studies option and minor. These academic proposals were referred to Dean Short at the June 18, 2003, Deans' Council meeting for discussions with the Department of English regarding needs assessment, resource analysis and duplication of programs. Currently, Dean Short and the department are actively seeking resolution on these issues.
