SUBJ: Notification of Minor Curricular Change(s) for 200-Level COOP courses

The following change has been identified as minor curricular change for the Office of Community & Academic Partnerships (Cooperative Education Department), effective Summer 2004.

Course(s) Curricular Change
200-level Cooperative Education Courses Remove from MU catalog
Rationale: Since almost 90% of students who participate in the program are of junior or senior standing, the initial higher course number (COOP 300) is a more accurate representation of their academic experience.
---
NOTE: "A course which has been deleted from the catalog may be reinstated by a departmental request directed to the appropriate school curriculum committee."
(MU Governance Manual Section 3: Undergraduate Academic Policies; Course and Program Modification Policies; Process for Deleting Courses from the University Catalogs)

---
A course number may be repeated in the Cooperative Education Department Currently enforced in Banner and DARS.
Rationale: Since program policy is that students may take up to four coops, the Office of Community & Academic Partnerships will use the course numbers allotted to them by allowing the courses to be repeated.
