As the President's designee, I am informing you of the approvals of the following Faculty Senate Curricular Actions.

Increase the number of courses required for the Accounting Option for Business Administration from 5 to 7.

COMMENT: In Spring, 2002, deans' council referred these curricular issues to Dean Marinho for discussion with the department regarding changes reflecting the curricular transformation process within the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. At this time, Interim Dean Short and the department have resolved issues of concern and Dean Short brought the recommendations to deans' council for final action.

These pre-requisite changes affect Business Administration majors and minors only. Each semester, the department will have to track their majors and minors through a degree audit batch job process that screens these courses for their majors. Students that do not meet the pre-requisites will not be restricted from registration.
