Re:	Faculty Emeritus Status for Dr. J. Robin Robb

The faculty of the Department of Social Work unanimously approves and recommends to the Faculty Senate the following resolution:

Whereas Dr. J. Robin Robb has contributed to pioneering the standard for Millersville University for regular part-time faculty in the areas of teaching excellence, dedicated service and outstanding scholarship: and
Whereas Dr. J. Robin Robb participated in the evolving accredited social work program and helped to make it into one of the most respected by social workers in the region; and
Whereas Dr. J. Robin Robb has instructed, mentored and encouraged numerous social work students and. in so doing, has prepared them for careers as social workers or to further their studies in a variety of prestigious graduate programs in social work; and
Whereas Dr. J. Robin Robb has instilled and nurtured, in majors and nortmajor students alike. a love of intellectual discovery; and
Whereas Dr. J. Robin Robb provided our social work students with accurate and thoughtful curricular and career advisement and compassionate personal counseling; and
Whereas Dr. J. Robin Robb provided valuable service, as well as sage and gentle counsel, to her colleagues in Social Work as she helped us accomplish our academic and professional responsibilities, including three reaffirmations of our Council on Social Work Education accreditation; and
Whereas Dr. J. Robin Robb in her steady and caring way, has helped our students develop their organizational and leadership potential: and
Whereas Dr. J. Robin Robb redefined almost single-handedly the two introductory core courses (SOWK 102 & SOWK 202) and has regularly taught the two courses in the Social Work Department: and
Whereas Dr. J. Robin Robb has been a model practitioner-teacher, regularly bringing current case material and practice experiences into her classes: has consistently modeled and taught social work ethics: and consistently gave students detailed and extensive feedback on their academic work: and
Whereas Dr. J. Robin Robb established a legacy of devotion to students and dedication to scholarship that will inspire us for years to come:
Therefore be it resolved that the faculty of the Department of Social Work unhesitatingly recommends that Dr. J. Robin Robb be granted the rank of Assistant Professor of SocialWork Emeritus.
