Dr. Hans G. Skitter
-Whereas Dr. Hans G. Skitter diligently contributed to the creation and the management of the Master=s Program in German at MU during his tenure on campus; -Whereas, he faithfully and creatively organized and operated the Junior Year in Marburg (Germany) Program during his many years in that off-campus assignment, fostering and cultivating good relations between the Philipps-Universitdt, Marburg and Millersville while helping American students adjust to a new culture and environment;
-Whereas he created the Department's first international internship at the Sparkasse Marburg-Biedenkopf;
-Whereas he not only led efforts to formalize the relations between MU and the Marburg University but also recruited and screened German students from Marburg who, as a result of the formal agreement, are able to spend an academic year studying here at MU.
