Meetings:
One meeting was held during the academic year (4/25/00). At this meeting members discussed the request made by several honorary organizations to allow graduating members of those organizations to wear special stoles at graduation ceremonies. No formal minutes were taken at the meeting. All faculty members and one student member attended.

Motions/Recommendations Forwarded to Senate:
5/2/2000
(1) Recommendation that graduating members of University-sanctioned, academically based honorary organizations be permitted to indicate their memberships in Those organizations by wearing cords in colors approved by the University/Commencement Committee chair.
(2) Recommendation that students chosen for membership in such organizations receive public recognition of this distinction (e.g., receiving their cords or having their names read at the honors convocation just prior to their graduation.
