Meetings:
The committee met six times this academic year, including one e-meeting; average attendance, excluding the e-meeting, was eleven.

Other deliberations/actions:

The Chair re-appointed two ad hoc members: Susan Luek and Beverly Skinner.
The Committee approved a new Honors course proposed by Rita Smith-Wade El, Psychology 318 H: Psychology of Racism.
The Committee selected candidates and alternates for the SSHE Summer Honors Program.
The Committee formulated questionnaires for, discussed specifics of, and otherwise participated in the Five-Year Review of the Honors College.
Committee members and the Director offered thesis workshops for Honors students, primarily sophomores, to prepare them for the process of researching and writing an Honors thesis.
Members of the Committee and the Director selected recipients for Summer Research Stipends.
The Committee and Director developed two advising tools: an updated Honors requirements sheet, and an accompanying question & answer sheet addresssing questions that Honors students commonly ask.

Matters currently in committee:
An updated faculty Liaison system between individual departments and the Honors College.
