CHANGE IN COURSES/CURRICULA
Completion of the BSE in Mathematics, BSE in Mathematics, Actuarial
Science Option and BSE in Mathematics, Statistics Option. Deletion of
EDFN 330 (Microcomputers in the Classroom, 3 credits) from the
"Professional Education" requirements. To bring all BSE (Mathematics)
programs into compliance with the mandated 120-credit maximum. Desired
effective date--Summer 2003.

Requesting G1 label. Desired effective date--Spring 2003
Proposal to Send Course Proposals Requesting G1, G2 and G3 Labels to
the Appropriate School Curriculum Committee When They Originate from a
Department Outside the School
A T. Kevorkian/B. Stengel motion, which rescinded the previous proposal
that had been sent to the General Education Review Committee for
evaluation in November, passed. The proposal was thus replaced with the
current F. Bremer proposal that was revised after the March 18, 2003
meeting. The F. Bremer proposal passed on an E. Blazer/R. Bookmiller
motion.
Proposal to Increase the Number of Required Related Courses that Can
Count Toward General Education Requirements from Four to Six
This proposal from the General Education Review Committee passed.
Proposal to Allow Students to Adopt New 120 Credit Degree Requirements
if They Have Earned 90 or Fewer Credits
This proposal from UCPRC passed.
Discussion of Referendum on SSHE Policies
This item was removed from the agenda and postponed indefinitely upon
passage of a J. Miller/B. Stengel motion.
