As the President's designee, I am informing you of the approval of the following Faculty Senate Curricular Actions:

EDSP 562 - Post-Baccalaureate Student Teaching
Approved, effective Spring 2003
Changes in Courses/Curricula:
Revise criteria for admission and completion for the School Nurse Certification Post-Baccalaureate Program.
Current Admission Policy
NURS 560; BIOL 256; EDFN 241; PSYC 227, 447; and CPR certification in addition to the MU BSN degree. All other degrees are individually review for course requirements. Students seeking school nurse certification must have a current nursing license to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Certification requires students to have one year professional nursing experience.
Proposed Admission and Program Completion Policy
Approved Pennsylvania Department of Education School Nurse Certification Program is a post-baccalaureate certification program. A BSN and PA registered nurse license is required. In addition, undergraduate evidence of : BIOL 256, EDFN 241, NURS 322, 423, PSYC 227 or 228, MATH 130, MATH (3 credits); ENGL 110, ENGL (3 credits) literature and a GPA 3.0 upon BSN graduation.
Applicants desiring admission should request information from MU Certification Office. Graduate evidence of GRE results, PSYC 505, EDFN 545, NURS 560, PRAXIS II and GPA 3.0 upon completion are required.
