FACULTY SENATE CURRICULAR RECOMMENDATIONS |
I am informing you that the Provost's Office has received, on December 1, 2004, the
following Actions of the Faculty Senate from its October 19th, November 2nd, and
16th, 2004, meetings. Curricular actions include:
- GEOG 220 - Human Geography renumbering to GEOG 120
- GEOG 304 - Water Resources Management; Remove Perspective designation
- GEOG 350 - Global Issues; Remove Writing designation
- Creation of new undergraduate courses, GEOG 228 Geography of Sport (G3) and
COMM 317 - Intercultural Communicology (G1, W)
- Program revision to B.S. Computer Science degree. Add CSCI 161 as a
required course.
- Creation of new graduate courses, NURS 630, 631, 632, 633, 515, for the
proposed new option, Nursing Education, in the Master of Science in Nursing.
- New option and certificate in Nursing Education for the Master of Science
in Nursing degree.
These matters will be addressed at the December 8, 2004, Deans' Council meeting.
For your information, Deans' Council will schedule Faculty Senate curricular
actions at the third meeting of the month unless canceled. If a Deans' Council
meeting is canceled where curricular actions were on the agenda, they will be
reviewed at the next meeting.
