| WHEREAS | Clark E. Taylor, Associate Professor of Mathematics, retired from Millersville University in the spring of 1994 after twenty-six years of dedicated service; and |
| WHEREAS | Clark E. Taylor has served the Department of Mathematics and the University with distinction by serving on numerous committees; and |
| WHEREAS | Clark E. Taylor has directed for several years the High School Mathematics Contest, bringing to Millersville University 200 gifted mathematics students each year; and |
| WHEREAS | Clark E. Taylor has taught and inspired thousands of elementary and secondary education majors now teaching in the Pennsylvania public schools; and |
| WHEREAS | Clark E. Taylor has coupled his exacting standards with compassion and understanding; and |
| WHEREAS | Clark E. Taylor was the creator and principal instructor for twenty years of the course, "Teaching of Mathematics in the Secondary Schools", and |
| WHEREAS | Clark E. Taylor was instrumental in establishing close working relationships with the Mathematics Departments of the area's high schools; and |
| WHEREAS | Clark E. Taylor, as a consequence of his outstanding teaching, was named a Commonwealth Teaching Fellow in 1976; |
