the Schools of Social Sciences and Humanities |

Dr. Ronald M. Benson faithfully taught thousands of students in the
Commonwealth, and |

Dr. Ronald M. Benson was a member of the MU-APSCUF, taking an active
role in Representative Council and other APSCUF committees, and |

Dr. Ronald M. Benson took an active role in faculty governance through
his participation in the Faculty Senate, and |

Dr. Ronald M. Benson played an important role in the development of
the University'e Pre-Law program, the History Club, and the Social Science
Honorary Society, and |

Dr. Ronald M. Benson was active throughout the Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania in promoting an understanding of the state's labor history
and economic development, and |

Dr. Ronald M. Benson made numerous presentations before state and
regional professional historical societies, and |

Dr. Ronald M. Benson published several journal articles and scholarly
reviews in his field of research, |
