The Biology 220 laboratories
are designed to allow you to explore particular
features of the course material in depth. In
addition, they are designed to help you to think
like a practicing experimental scientist. For each
major unit, you will first learn essential concepts
and skills, and then apply them by designing an
experiment as a group to test a particular
hypothesis. You will have an opportunity to conduct
your experiment, analyze the resulting data and
compare them to your predictions. We will work on
data collection, analysis, interpretation and
presentation skills throughout the course. |
