Notes:
After the delamination and partial formation of a sub-germinal layer of cells, the epiblast thickens at the most posterior end of the embryo, just above Kohler’s Sickle, and cells begin to ingress, to form the primitive streak. As the streak extends along the embryo, the streak deepens to form the groove.
The tip of the primitive groove is capped by Hensen’s Node.
The groove extends and deepens towards the anterior end of the embryo, bringing Hensen’s Node along with it.
