Abstract
An abstract is a paragraph (100-300 words) that encapsulates your entire paper. It is also used to "sell" your paper or presentation. Many readers have electronic access to the abstracts of journal articles and they scan them to decide which papers to read. Abstracts are also submitted before scientific conferences; they are used by the organizers to decide which presenters are invited and by attendees to decide which presentations to attend. Because they may be viewed alone, they must be self- contained, clear and informative. Do not use abbreviations or refer to figures. Before you write an abstract, you should visualize the entire paper; each section should be represented. First, outline the scientific context, purpose, objective and rational of the study. Then, brieflyindicate the methods that were used. Finally, summarize your most importantfindings and conclusions, and their majorimplication.

Each student should submit an abstract which will be compiled into a program for the final oral presentations. One abstract per group should then be chosen and revised as part of the final web page.
