Treatment 3: effect of arsenic on dechorionated embryos
Embryos were exposed to sodium arsenate at 5h (approximately high
oblong stage) after fertilization. Concentrations of arsenic used
were 50 uM, 100 uM, 200 M, 400 uM, and 800 uM. Eight chorionated
and eight dechorionated embryos were placed in each solution, including
a control solution of zebrafish embryo solution. Embryos were observed
at several points throughout their development. All embryos appeared
alive and healthy during observations, with no noticeable differences
between chorionated and dechorionated embryos.
