I. Minutes of the February 15, 2005 Meeting
II. Report of the Faculty Senate Chairperson
III. Report of the Student Senate President
IV. Report of the Graduate Student Organization
V. Report of the Administrative Officers
President McNairy shared concerns about the Academic Theme due, in part, to the limited participation in the University community and the dollars devoted to the program. Since the Academic Theme Committee is a standing committee of Faculty Senate, President McNairy wished to address the issue with this body. A joint meeting of the chairs of the Academic Theme Committee and school-based lectures will be held to discuss the future direction of these events. President McNairy suggested a hiatus until the joint committee has completed its work.
Provost Prabhu
Provost Prabhu reported that the Graduate Dean Search Committee has made a recommendation to the administration. He received a request from a senator that the decision regarding the scheduling of make-up classes, resulting from weather cancellations, be made and disseminated so students can plan accordingly.
