Once you have the software installed on your computer (you may install it on several computers if you wish), you will need the “Course ID” which is millersvilleima.
The final step in registering is obtaining your access code. If you purchased the textbook with the software CDs, use the license code on the yellow paper which came with the CDs to obtain your access code. If you did not purchase a textbook/CD bundle then you may purchase an access code from Hawkes Learning Systems by following the link “Get Your Access Code”. The access code is 30 characters long and you will find it more convenient to save the code in a file on the Windows Desktop of the computer you plan to use. If you are using a computer in the Department of Mathematics computer laboratory, save the access code to a flash drive and take the flash drive with you whenever you use the software.
In the table below are the descriptions of the topics we will cover in this course. The links in the middle column are to lecture notes which I will use during class time to summarize the material contained in the corresponding sections of the textbook. In the right-most column are links to short videos explaining some of the concepts and providing example illustrations to go along with the concepts. These videos are hosted by the Khan Academy. You are expected to watch these videos the night before these concepts are discussed in class. If you find other videos that are helpful in explaining the concepts of this course, please let me know and I will add links to them as well.
